Naturally Fermented Foods: Traditional Apple Vinegar

Zaal Market naturally fermented foods are made by old, natural fermentation methods. The main product in this group is traditional apple vinegar, fermented from 100% apples with no industrial vinegar, added sugar, essences or preservatives. Fermented foods bring a genuine sour taste to the family table.

Guide to naturally fermented foods

Many modern food products are heat-treated and made with fast industrial methods. Zaal Market's approach is to bring back traditional fermentation, in which natural cultures turn fruit juice into vinegar slowly and without chemicals. Our naturally fermented foods are made this way.

These products are foods and are not a substitute for medicine or medical advice.

How to recognize naturally fermented vinegar

  • Natural apple aroma: Factory vinegar smells sharp and harsh, while natural vinegar smells pleasantly of apples.
  • No chemical preservatives: Natural vinegar does not need sodium benzoate or metabisulfite; its own acidity keeps it.
  • Color can change: Because it is fermented, the color can slowly change from light cream to brown during storage. This is not a sign of spoilage. The mother of vinegar is removed during production, but a thin layer can still form after packing or with improper storage.

Everyday use and storage

  • Morning drink: Dilute one or two teaspoons of apple vinegar in a glass of lukewarm water, with a teaspoon of natural honey if you like. Never drink it undiluted.
  • Salad dressing: Mix apple vinegar with extra virgin olive oil and a little pink salt for a simple dressing.
  • Storage: Natural vinegar does not need the fridge; keep it at room temperature away from strong sunlight.

No. It is made only by fermenting apples, with no added sugar, industrial white vinegar, essences or preservatives.

Why does Zaal apple vinegar change color over time?
